Mayor's School Year Jobs Program
About the Role:
The Mayor's School Year Jobs Program will offer a combination of group and individual project-based work. As a whole group, you will participate in 2 hours of weekly job-readiness and professional development skill building workshops. You will spend the other 6 hours per week working in departments throughout the City of Somerville.
Qualifications:
- Must be a current Somerville resident
- Must be a current High School Student
- 1 Adult Reference (The reference should be an adult who knows you well and knows is not related to you. Examples: Teacher, Guidance Counselor, Supervisor, Coach, etc.)
Hours & Pay:
- 8 hours per week/$17.72 per hour
Application Process:
- Please complete this application by December 6th, 2024.
- Interviews will take place December 11th, 2024.
- First day of programming: January 28th, 2025.

Pre-Employment Requirements for All Employees:
- MA Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) clearance
- Completion of Conflict-of-Interest Law Education training for municipal employees
