DUTIES:

Greet all visitors to the IT office, identify their requirements and direct them toward the appropriate party (depending on that party’s availability) and/or enter a work order on their behalf into the automated workorder management system.

Answer the IT help desk phone in a timely manner and perform detailed entry of requests for support, or other like incidents, into the automated workorder management system. Notify appropriate management of any incident reported to be critical, urgent, emergency or high priority.

Under the direction of the Finance & Mobile Device Administrator, enter invoices into the Munis financial system’s Accounts Payable module, create billrolls, and other fiscal-related duties as assigned.

Order office supplies. Open mail. File. Assist with maintaining leased copiers. Ability to adapt to a paperless workflow using Adobe Pro, Excel and Munis.

Performs other tasks as assigned by the Chief Information Officer and Deputy Director of Information Technology.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years of practical experience using a computer.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate Degree preferred.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Adobe Pro; experience using Munis.  Financial software or other financial software systems preferred.
  • Possess basic PC troubleshooting skills.
  • Exhibit excellent telephone etiquette and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate outstanding written communication skills.
  • Prior Customer Service or Support Help Desk experience is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment involves everyday discomforts typical of offices, with occasional exposure to outside elements. Noise or physical surroundings may be distracting, but conditions are generally not unpleasant.

Physical Skills

Little or no physical demands are required to perform the work. Work effort principally involves sitting to perform work tasks, with intermittent periods of stooping, walking, and standing. There may also be some occasional lifting of objects such as books, office equipment and computer paper (up to 30 lbs.)

Motor Skills

Duties are largely mental rather than physical, but the job requires minimal motor skills for activities such as moving objects, operating a telephone system, computer and/or most other office equipment, typing and/or word processing, filing, and sorting.

Visual Skills

Visual demands include constantly reading screen and paper documents for general understanding and for analytical purposes.
